Next Meeting, February 9

Our next meeting will be February 9, 7:30-9pm at the Renton Carpenters Hall, 231 Burnett Ave N, Renton.

A Bylaws amendment concerning endorsements will be considered.

Endorsement motions themselves will also be in order, including, but not limited to, endorsements in the race for 8th Congressional District Representative.

  1. Note that it is not currently a requirement that advance notice of consideration endorsement motions be given; the proposed amendment would enact such a requirement. However we give notice anyway so that endorsements will still be possible if the amendment passes.
  2. This is independent of the WSDCC's Nomination process. In short, Nomination is about who is the Democratic candidate is for the purposes of state and federal law — normally determined by partisan primary, which we no longer have in Washington &mdash while Endorsement is about which candidates/positions will receive support from the 8th CD Democrats organization
